
Soprano Jessica Ferri, recipient of a voice faculty scholarship from The Jacobs School of Music at Indiana University, made her New York debut in 2013 in the world premiere of the chamber opera The Augur, written by David Louis Zuckerman. Under the baton of Richard Barrett, she sang Violetta in Verdi's La Traviata with the Brooklyn College Conservatory Orchestra in May 2015. With the Brooklyn College Conservatory of Music she also sang The Monitor in Puccini’s Suor Angelica, Modestina in Rossini’s Il viaggio a Reims, and, in scenes, Nedda from I Pagliacci, Elsa from Wagner’s Lohengrin, and Mozart's Countess.
In 2014, Jessica participated in the International Vocal Arts Institute’s summer program in Montreal where she sang Blanche's aria, "I Want Magic!" from Andre Previn's A Streetcar Named Desire in two gala performances. Born and raised in Roswell, Georgia, Ms. Ferri recently graduated with a Master of Music in Performance from Brooklyn College Conservatory of Music. She also holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Music and English Literature from Indiana University. She currently resides in New York City.
